Why choose Angsana Medical for your acute care needs?
Faster and Safe Access to Care
GP visits are often quicker than waiting at the A&E or polyclinics, especially for non-urgent conditions. Many acute illnesses and minor injuries can be safely managed in primary care without hospital admission. We are experienced in effectively treating a variety of acute illnesses.
Continuity of Care
As your Family Clinic, we already understand your medical history, medications and risk factors, allowing more personalised care. Our doctors also have access to NEHR, ensuring we do not miss any significant medical history.
Cost-Effective & Community-Centred
With reasonable consult fees starting from $30 and short waiting times, we help you receive prompt care, saving you time and money.
We are a PaedsENGAGE Clinic
Angsana Medical is experienced with treating paediatric conditions of mild to moderate severity, allowing you to save time and money compared to visiting the Children’s Emergency or private paediatric clinics. In cases assessed as emergencies, a referral to the Children’s Emergency by us will include a $50 subsidy on the prevailing Children’s Emergency fees.
What to expect during an acute care visit?
During your visit, we will triage your symptoms to determine urgency, manage you with appropriate medications, investigations and procedures in a timely manner, and discharge you with clear self-care and red-flag advice. For teleconsults, we are generally able to deliver medications to you within 3 hours to a day, depending on the timing of consult and delivery urgency indicated.
Our friendly and proactive doctors will actively follow-up with you if needed and refer you to the emergency department or specialist if warranted.
When should you go to the Emergency Department?
Some conditions require immediate emergency care. Proceed to the nearest A&E or call 995 if you have:
– Severe chest pain, difficulty breathing or sudden weakness
– Heavy bleeding, deep wounds or major trauma
– Suspected fractures requiring urgent imaging
– Severe allergic reactions, seizures or loss of consciousness
– Other symptoms that are severe, urgent or causing significant functional impairment
