Why choose Angsana Medical for women’s health concerns?
Coordinated, Integrated Care
Women’s health concerns are typically multifactorial. Our doctors are experienced and trained in integrating care for sexual, hormonal, mental and physical health. We work closely with psychologists, counsellors, dieticians, personal trainers and specialists to coordinate holistic care for your needs.
Discretion and Privacy
We understand that women’s health concerns may be sensitive and patients may avoid visiting STI, psychiatric or Women’s Health-only clinics due to fear of stigma, prejudice or discrimination. Angsana Medical’s Family Clinic setting aims to put you at ease, so you can seek medical advice in comfort and without fear. Teleconsulations are also available for added privacy. We also provide HPV self-testing kits, which are as sensitive as the doctor-performed swab.
Experienced Physicians
Dr Dhivian has completed rigorous training across multiple disciplines, including obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and sexually transmitted infections. He is friendly, approachable and trusted by many patients for his professionalism, thorough assessment and clear explanations.
What to expect at each visit?
Each visit typically includes:
– A focused but thorough history taking to understand your medical concerns, lifestyle, medical history and expectations
– Relevant gentle physical examination if needed, with a female chaperone
– Investigations, such as blood, urine or swab tests, if required
– A clear explanation of diagnosis, treatment options and a personalised care plan with follow-up appointments to track your progress
How soon do I need to see a doctor for emergency contraception?
If you need emergency contraception, it is best to receive it as soon as possible after unprotected sex. Emergency contraception works by preventing or delaying ovulation, and its effectiveness decreases with time. We have Postinor and ellaOne available from $25 and these emergency contraceptive pills are typically effective when taken within 72 hours (3 days) and 120 hours (5 days) after intercourse respectively.
If you need emergency contraception, are unsure which option is suitable, experiencing side effects, or need confidential advice, you may Whatsapp us at 6041 4867 or book an appointment via the links below. You can collect the medications at our clinic or have them delivered to you. Early consultation also allows discussion of ongoing contraception and STI screening where appropriate.
